I like running so much that I attended many running clinics to improve my fitness and techniques. Reading at home may improve your knowledge but nothing like first hand explanations and experience. Learning directly from the masters can greatly enhance your understanding. It also provides a way for you to cross check to see what are you are doing is right. One of the clinics that I participate in is Skecher's Malaysia RUNNING ACADEMY. The clinic is led by Coach Olya who is a certified ACE certified personal trainer and RYS yoga instructor. Since her specialisation is more towards fitness, you would have guessed that the training is very much focussing on strengths and conditioning. She is assisted by Mr. Kamsani and Sue Teoh (who is also a top Triathlete). Coach Olya's menu always tough. Planks and other HIIT exercises are a must.
